What you may need to know about the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” (ACA), passed by Congress and signed into law March 2010.
Major Provisions of the ACA are phased in through January 2014 (a few more to 2020).
The ACA provides for the establishment of health insurance “Exchanges” on a State-by-State basis. States without Exchanges will opt into a Federal Exchange.
To increase the number of insured and to allow “State” control of the Exchange, Nevada formed the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange.
